Program Impact
Over the past year, Prescott College and Community Counts were able to develop 17 community partnerships and recruit 17 VISTA and 16 AmeriCorps members to serve throughout Yavapai County. Recent accomplishments as a result of this funding include: Development of an outdoor sports program to support disabled veterans with the Call to Duty Foundation; connecting and guiding youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters partnerships; leading a riparian habitat restoration effort with Prescott Creeks; empowering and educating youth through North Star Youth Partnership; the development of multi-agency case management services in the Community Circles program; collection and distribution of information about local homeless service providers with the City of Prescott; literacy programming in the Humboldt Unified Schools; growing and strengthening the after-school program at Beaver Creek School; assistance and outreach for Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity; the creation of "Team Tech", a volunteer/education group with Prescott Fine Arts Association, volunteer recruitment and management for the Prescott Area Women's Shelter, the Juvenile Probation Office and People Who Care, an organization that provides free transportation to people with disabilities and home-bound adults; as well as the creation of a community center in the rural town of Humboldt.

Between January, 2010 and January, 2011 we have:
- Engaged over 5,750 volunteers, equaling 37,874 hours of volunteer time in support of our projects
- Served over 4,000 disadvantaged children and youth
- Received over $632,000 in non-cash resources
- Generated over $416,000 in cash resources to assist in VISTA project development


Our current partners are Beaver Creek School (Rimrock), Big Brothers Big Sisters, One Street, City of Prescott, Call to Duty Foundation, Ecosa Institute, Coalition for Compassion and Justice, First Things First, Prescott Alternative Transportation, Granite Peak Unitarian Congregation, Beaver Creek Adult Center, Community Counts, People Who Care, Prescott College, Yavapai County Medical Reserve Corps, United Way of Yavapai County, Yavapai College Retiree Connection, Prescott Area Women's Shelter, Neighbor to Neighbor, North Star Youth Partnership, Prescott Fine Arts Association, Juvenile Probation Office, and Girl Scouts-Cactus Pine Council.
